What ist the FSI

FSI = Fachschaftsinitiative (student body initiative)

  • group of volunteer ICT (IuK) students
  • intermediary between students and professors/tutors/other university institutions and committees
  • place to go if you have questions/problems and want to talk to other students
  • organization of various events
  • collection of old exams and other material (StudOn)

New members are always welcome! 🙂

If you want to reach us, you can write us on Discord, via E-Mail or if you want to talk to us in person, we will have regular office hours at our room (01.025, EEI building, right tower) on Mondays, 12:15 – 15:45

Game Night on Wednesday, the 01.03.2023

Dear ICT students,

we would like to invite you to our game night on wednesday, the 01.03.2023, at 7 pm in seminar room 01.021 at Cauerstraße 7 in the EEI building.

Directions: you go to the EEI building, in the right tower, the tower where the FSI room is, you go up to the second floor and there you will find the room.

We will, like always, play all kinds of board and card games together with you. You are also welcome to bring your own games.

If you want to get to know your fellow students from different years and the FSI better, or just for a nice evening, then come along! You are also welcome to bring other fellow students who did not receive the email invitation.

Cheap drinks will be provided. In the course of the evening we will order pizza together again.

Do you want to know more about the topics an engineer in ICT deals with and what the working environment of a future ICT engineer might look like?

Then we would like to invite you to take part in the excursion to Nokia in Ulm. There you will not only get an insight into the working world but also a view on future perspectives of an I&C/ICT study.

Museum Visit with tour Communication Museum

Dear Students,

As already announced, we are offering an excursion to the Museum for Communication in Nuremberg on November 19, 2022. During the 90-minute tour you can get to know the different types of communication. A city tour in the Franconian metropolitan city of Nuremberg is then offered. The museum entrance and the city tour is free of charge for you.

Pub Crawl

Dear ICT/ICT students,

next Tuesday, the 25.10.22 we make a pub crawl through the bars of Erlangen! Since Tuesday are student day, there are many special offers on drinks and as already announced, fun and beer.

Meeting point is the Friedrich Statue at Schloßplatz (49.597745863236895, 11.00405374955271) at 19:30. As always, we will try to reach all the bars on our route together. The first stop will be Glücksrausch if you want to join us later.

Pub Night

Dear ICT/ICT students,

the lecture period is almost over. Before the first exam period starts,
we want to invite you to a pub night. On Friday, July 8th at 7:30 p.m.,
you can spend a relaxed evening with us and other students at La
Passion, talk to each other about the semester and enjoy a few cool
drinks. We would be happy if you could join us.
Since the incidence numbers are currently very high again, we would
recommend that you take a Corona test beforehand.

Registration Soldering Evening until 16.06.

Dear IuK/ICT students, 

as you already know, we are organizing a soldering evening for you. It will take place on 20.06. at 18:15h in room 0.150-115 (GET-Praktikumsraum), Cauerstr. 7. You have to register for this event, because we have limited places. You can register via StudOn: https://www.studon.fau.de/crs4517184_join.html.

PLEASE REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT UNTIL 16.06.!

Also please take part in the survey in the course after the registration, in which semester you are. If you have already registered and can’t make it, it would be great if you could cancel your registration again.

Since we never get the chance to solder in our technical studies, but this can prove to be very useful, we will offer a soldering evening every year starting this semester. Here you can learn the basics of soldering, improve your technique or just pick up a soldering iron again and get to know your fellow students better in a relaxed atmosphere. We will provide you with free kits and a short introduction. From then on you can just try it out, but we are always available for help. Afterwards we will work out together how some aspects of the kits actually work.
